NaNoWriMo
November is National Novel Writing Month, during which thousands of writers attempt to produce 50,000 coherent words in 30 days. Last year I participated, and made very acceptable progress on the novel I’ve had in my head for over a decade. Getting my ideas on paper was so rewarding that I’ve decided to participate again, and try to solve some of the knotty plot points I’ve created for my protagonist.
The reason I’m telling you this is that I may go underground for the next 30 days. That’s kind of how it works – we write instead of doing anything else. My dog Kismet hasn’t approved this plan, so there will still be dog walks, and I’ll be stiff as the tin man in Oz if I don’t go to exercise class, but other than that I’m likely to disappear from view.
I’ll make every effort to check in once a week, however.
Wish me luck!
